The basic ingredients you will need are the following:

BSF GLASS BOTTLE

In these containers you will elaborate and preserve the artisan perfume that you prepare. It is important that it is made of glass, since it will keep the aroma for a longer time.

96% ALCOHOL

It is concentrated alcohol that you can easily find in any pharmacy in your city. This alcohol will allow the natural essences or essential oils that you use to make the perfume to be dispersed and maintained. If you want to make a cologne instead of a perfume, you can lower the alcohol percentage by adding a little demineralized water, glycerin, or even distilled water.

NATURAL ESSENCES

They will be in charge of providing the aroma to your perfume. For example, if you want to prepare a rose perfume, you can use natural rose essential oil and have a powerful and pleasant base note. You can also combine different essential oils to create a personalized perfume, here we show you a small example of how to mix them;

  • The main note: it is the most important because it is the one that will give the first impression to our perfume. It will be the cover letter of the fragrance, although its aroma is the least durable. We recommend a citrus for its characteristics, essential oil of lemon, grapefruit, orange...

  • The central note: basically, the hallmark of the perfume. What goes best are the flowers, with a more or less spicy tone, according to our tastes. Jasmine, rose, lavender...

  • The bottom note: she will be the one that stays the longest on the skin. It has to be a light note oil, like cedar or vanilla.

The amounts of each ingredient will depend on your preferences, but keep in mind that the central and base notes should be double the main note.

Elaboration

Once you have all the ingredients at hand, it's time to start making your homemade perfumes.

  1. First of all in the glass jar you add alcohol. The amount of alcohol should be 70% of the total perfume you want to prepare. For example, if you make 50 ml of perfume, then you will need to use 35 ml of alcohol. In case you want to make a cologne, don't forget to mix the alcohol with water (distilled or demineralized) before pouring it into the bottle.

  2. Later, you will have to add the oils or natural essences, which will be in charge of giving your perfume its aroma. The recommended thing is to add an amount equivalent to 30% of the total perfume. If you make a 50 ml perfume, you will have to add 15 ml of natural essences.

  3. Close the glass jar and mix the ingredients well to let everything marinate for about a week. You will have to put the bottle in a cool place and where it doesn’t get sunlight, since this way you will make sure that the aroma is impregnated and intensifies.

  4. After a week, you can begin to enjoy your own 100% natural homemade perfume.

    And ready!
